Ged first got into green woodworking through renovating his house and garden. He built his own bespoke kitchen from wood and taught himself as he went. He enjoyed it so much he decided he'd like to teach others how to craft beautiful items from natural resources.
Ged's interests include hill walking, bird watching, yoga, conservation, environmental issues and northern soul. He's a very calm and encouraging teacher and an all round great human being!
"Brilliant course. Ged did a superb job teaching us to use a shave-horse and pole-lathe to make highly finished wooden tumblers. I would recommend this course to anyone with or without woodworking skills."
Gedwood responded:
"Many thanks for your kind words Jorg. Hope to see you again on a course 😊👍"
"Great course, great situation, great teacher and the weather was kind also! Learnt a lot from Ged who had a great balance of letting you do as much as you can but also helping us where necessary. Covered a huge amount in a short time. I definitely have workshop envy! And the company was also great. Definitely plan to do another course."
Gedwood responded:
"Ah, many thanks John. Glad you enjoyed the day. And hope to see you again on a course👍
"
"I could do this course over and over again! Ged is brilliant, very welcoming and a great instructor. The rest of the world disappears once you step into the magical workshop! I will definitely be booking onto another course. "
Gedwood responded:
"Ah thank you Alison. Glad you enjoyed the day and hope to see you again on a course 😊👍"
"Great experience with knowledgeable tutor. Would do it again. "
